The premier edition of the International Building Code addresses design and installation of building systems with requirements that emphasize performance.

The IBC is coordinated with all of the 2003 International Codes.

2003 International Residential Code

Brings uniformity to construction of one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses up to three stories high.

2003 International Plumbing Code

Minimum provisions for fixtures, piping, fitting and devices, and design and installation methods for water supply, and sanitary and storm drainage.

2003 International Mechanical Code

Comprehensively regulates mechanical systems and equipment including HVAC, exhaust systems, chimneys and vents, ducts, appliances, boilers, water heaters, refrigeration, hydronic piping and solar systems.

2003 International Fire Code

Coordinated with the International Building Code, references national standards to comprehensively address fire safety in new and existing buildings. Topics addressed include fire department access, fire hydrants, automatic sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, hazardous materials storage and use, and fire-safety requirements for new and existing buildings and premises.

2003 International Property Maintenance Code

Addresses maintenance requirements for the interior and exterior of structures, space requirements for determining maximum occupancy and minimum light and ventilation criteria for existing buildings.

2003 International Existing Building Code

Includes provisions for improving and upgrading existing buildings to conserve resources and history.

2003 International Fuel Gas Code

Contains requirements for fuel-gas piping systems, equipment and accessories. It has combustion air requirements, sizing tables for venting Category I appliances and provisions coordinated with the International and National Fuel Gas Codes

2003 ICC Performance Code for Buildings & Facilities

Presents regulations based on outcome rather than prescription. It encourages new design methods by allowing a broader parameter to meet the intent of the I-Codes.

2003 International Energy Conservation Code

Includes energy provisions for residential and commercial buildings, and building envelope requirements for thermal performance and air leakage.

2003 International Urban-Wildland Interface Code

Addresses fire spread, accessibility, defensible space and water supply for buildings constructed near wildland areas.

2003 International Zoning Code  

Consistent zoning regulations that can be tailored to specific jurisdictional needs along with requirements and definitions coordinated with the International Building Code.

2003 International Private Sewage Disposal Code

Details septic tank and effluent absorption, and other disposal systems. It contains provisions for evaluating site and soil conditions, outlines use of methods and materials, and includes tables for pressure distribution systems.

2003 ICC Electrical Code

Contains the administrative text necessary to administer the National Electrical Code and complies with electrical provisions in all International Codes.
