of the AISC Steel Construction Manual with AISC
325-11 Standards
This Manual is the fourteenth major update of the
AISC Steel Construction Manual, which was first
published in 1927. Replacing the 13th Edition
Manual, the 14th Edition Manual contains several
updates and revisions, including the new HP18 and
HP16 series, updated connection tables based on
increased bolt shear strength values, revised
single-plate and extended single-plate connection
design procedures, enhanced prying action procedure,
and a revised bracket plate design procedure. The
following specifications, codes and standards are
printed in Part 16 of this Manual: 2010
Specification for Structural Steel Buildings,
including the new Chapter N on QC and QA, expanded
composite design provisions, and improved
slip-critical connection provisions 2009 RCSC
Specification for Structural Joints Using
High-Strength Bolts 2010 AISC Code of Standard
Practice for Steel Buildings and Bridges An ideal
reference for engineers and plan review engineers
AISC Steel Construction Manual - AISC 325-05 - 13th
Edition
This Manual is the thirteenth
major update of the AISC Steel Construction Manual,
which was first published in 1927. With this
revision, the previously separate Allowable Stress
Design and Load and Resistance Factor Design methods
have been combined. Thus, this Manual replaces both
the 9th Edition ASD Manual and the 3rd Edition LRFD
Manual. Much of the HSS Connections Manual has also
been incorporated and updated in this Manual.
AISC
Seismic Design Manual - AISC 327-05
AISC has developed a new Seismic
Design Manual. This six-part manual includes
sections on general design considerations; design of
systems utilizing R = 3 (braced and moment frames);
design of braced-frame systems utilizing R > 3;
design of moment frame systems utilizing R > 3; and
design of other systems utilizing R > 3. The AISC
Seismic Design Manual also includes printed versions
of ANSI/AISC 341-05 and ANSI/AISC 358-05.

The second
edition has been expanded and reorganized to be more
informative and cohesive. It also follows the
developments that have emerged in the field since
the previous edition, such as advanced analysis for
structural design, performance-based design of
earthquake-resistant structures, lifecycle
evaluation and condition assessment of existing
structures, the use of high-performance materials
for construction, and design for safety
Schaum's Outline of
Structural Steel Design Unique Study
Guide For Learning Structural Steel Design
This study guide is one of the few sources of
comprehensive instruction about load and resistance
factor design, which is gradually becoming the
standard method of designing structural steel.
Written for anyone with the basic knowledge of
engineering mechanics needed for any undergraduate
course in structural steel design, its
problem-solving approach makes this book ideal for
undergraduate and graduate engineering and
architectural students, and for practicing
engineers, architects and structural detailers as
well.
Steel Structures:
Design and Behavior Complete
Reference On The Design and Behavior of Steel
Structures
The design of structural steel members has developed
over the past century from a simple approach
involving a few basic properties of steel and
elementary mathematics to a more sophisticated
treatment demanding a thorough knowledge of
structural and material behavior. Steel Structures:
Design and Behavior, 5/e strives to present in a
logical manner the theoretical background needed for
developing and explaining design requirements.
Beginning with coverage of background material,
including references to pertinent research, the
development of specific formulas used in the AISC
Specifications is followed by a generous number of
design examples explaining in detail the process of
selecting minimum weight members to satisfy given
conditions.
Steel Structures
Design: ASD / LRFD Complete
Reference On The Background and Fundamental Basis of
Steel Design
Steel Structures Design: ASD / LRFD introduces the
theoretical background and fundamental basis of
steel design and covers the detailed design of
members and their connections. This in-depth
resource provides clear interpretations of the
American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)
Specification for Structural Steel Buildings, 2010
edition, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other
Structures, 2010 edition, and the International Code
Council (ICC) International Building Code, 2012
edition. The code requirements are illustrated with
170 design examples, including concise, step-by-step
solutions.
Structural
Detailer's Manual
This highly illustrated manual
provides practical guidance on structural steelwork
detailing. Describes the common structural shapes in
use and how they are joined to form members and
complete structures. Explains detailing practice and
conventions, provides detailing data for standard
sections, bolts and welds. Emphasizes the importance
of tolerances in order to achieve proper site
fit-up. Discusses the important link between good
detailing and construction costs. Examples of
structures include single and multi-storey
buildings, towers and bridges. The detailing shown
will be suitable in principle for fabrication and
erection in many countries, and the sizes shown will
act as a guide to preliminary design.

Unified Design of Steel Structures A Clear Guide to the
ANSI/AISC 360-05 Specification for Structural Steel Buildings
Based on the understanding that the strength of an
element or structure can be determined independently of the design
philosophy, the 2005 unified ANSI/AISC 360-o5 Specification for
Structural Steel Buildings Successfully brought together the two
divergent approaches to the design of steel structures, the ASD and
the LRFD. Unified Design of Steel Structures demystifies this new
specification for both practicing engineers and students.
