AC Leakage
Current Tester - Simpson Model 229-2
Detects AC Current
Leakage and Approximates Human Threshold of
Perception
Testing for dangerous small
leakage currents is easy with the Simpson
Model 229-2 Leakage Current Tester. For use
in appliance field service, in the lab, or
in production, the 229-2 approximates the
human threshold of perception in detecting
hazardous AC leakage current. The 229-2
comes with test leads with alligator clips,
manual and batteries. Checks both 120VAC and
240VAC appliances, motors and other
equipment Conforms to ANSI C101.1-1986 and
UL safety standards Overload protected up to
500V peak momentarily on all ranges
Compensated to approximate Dalziel's
threshold of perception curve |

AC/DC Leakage
Current Tester - Simpson Model 228
Detects AC & DC
Leakage Current and Simulates Human Response
at 3 Levels
Test for dangerous leakage current with
the Simpson Model 228, designed to meet the
latest UL, IEC, and ANSI specifications. The
228 detects both AC and DC leakage current
and simulates human response at three
different levels -- reaction, let-go, and
burn hazard. Each Model 228 comes with test
leads with alligator clips, manual, and
batteries. Detects dangerous AC & DC leakage
current present on the conductive surfaces
of electrical or electronic equipment
Designed to meet new IEC, ANSI, and UL
guidelines Reaction, Let-Go and Unweighted
Burn Hazard network measurements

AC Leakage
Current Tester - Sotcher Model 350
Tests 120V Insulated
Tools & Appliances Up to 2500V, 20A
Full 20A current capacity; All 120V tools in
common use can be tested; Built-in extension
cord tester checks polarity, continuity and
ground wire resistance; Tests quality of
ground wire; The quality and continuity of
the ground circuit is measured. Poor quality
ground connections are rejected.; Verifies
tool performance; Multi-scale ammeter reads
the current drawn by tool. This helps
identify defective bearings, gear trains,
shorted coils, or poor brush contact.;
Direct reading leakage meter; Displays
actual leakage current with good, marginal
and danger levels clearly shown.; No
dangerous high voltage; All tests are
performed at normal line voltage. Repeated
high voltage testing degrades a tool's
insulation and presents an employee hazard |
