Features: More Information: When the sun is out, seeing laser beams from levels and transits with the naked eye can be tricky, especially over distances beyond the laser's stated reach. The LaserMark LD400G detects laser beams emitting from any rotating, visible (green-beam but hard-to-see) or invisible laser on the market. Front and back LCD's display three levels of beam resolution (fine, medium, and coarse), and three levels of speaker volume (off, medium, and high). Loaded with user-friendly features, the LD400G is equipped with dual LCD screens that display power status, audio on/off status, and offer touch-screen beam-resolution controls for faster measurements in the field. The screens are on the front and back, too, so there's no rotating the whole unit for detecting in the opposite direction. The detector is plenty durable, too. Its rugged housing is gasket-sealed for waterproof protection in rainy climates, sprinkler system installation, and muddy worksites. And, an auto shut-off activates after 6 minutes of inactivity to preserve the battery, which can power the transit for up to three months for reliability in the field. Best of all, the unit is equipped with a memory feature that preserves the last position of the beam if the unit is moved out of the plane of light. The improved heavy duty rod clamp now includes an "E" ring on the clamping screw for less wear and more durability. --Brian D. Olson What's in the Box Tools & Hardware
